SURP TATEOS – SURP PARTOGHOMEOS CHURCH, Yenikapi

This church is dedicated to the Apostles Saints Tateos and Partoghomeos, the first spiritual enlighteners of Armenians. The foundation of the church was laid in 1846 by Patriarch Matteos II Chuhajian. The church was renovated in 1969 during the reign of Patriarch Shynorhk, with the support of the Tateos Ajderhanyan couple and several benefactors.

The benefactors buried in the churchyard are:
Mıgırdiç Peşdimalcıyan (died in 1874) and Bayan Mosigyan.
