The school was opened in 1912 in a building built as a hospital by a Russian doctor named Dr. Neskov.In accordance with Dikran Karagözyan’s will, 113 students and 16 teachers were brought from the Surp Pırgiç Armenian Hospital orphanage.The orphanage had an important role in taking care of male orphans and teaching them crafts.Today, the school operates in a restored building with kindergarten, primary and secondary school sections.
