According to Per Ğugas İnciciyan, the Surp Asdvadzadzin Church already existed in Yeniköy in 1794. The church, which underwent a radical restoration thanks to the philanthropy of Harutyun Amira Nevruz, was opened for worship in 1834 by the hand of Patriarch Isdepanos II. Ağavni.
Finally, the church, which was fundamentally restored in 2006 and gained a pleasant appearance, was consecrated by Patriarch Mesrob II and reopened for worship.
