On Thursday, October 20, 2022, His Holiness the Patriarch visited the Mayor of Malatya Metropolitan Municipality, Hüseyin Şahin, in his office. During the visit of His Holiness the Patriarch, Patriarchal Deputy Father Krikor Damatyan, Anatolian Regional Manager Father Avedis Tabaşyan, Serdar Boyacı representing the community, Malatya HayDer Association President Nurhan Gezdirici and Hosrof Köletavitoğlu accompanied him. Our Spiritual Leader thanked the Mayor for the hospitality they showed. Mayor Mr. Hüseyin Şahin expressed his pleasure for the Patriarch’s presence in the city for the service to be held in the church and for the visit that took place on this occasion.
On this occasion, His Holiness the Patriarch presented the Mayor with a hand-carved wooden plate.
